City looks at new ‘infrastructure district’ to fund L.A. River plans


It seems like there is never enough money to accomplish everything that needs to be done. This is an interesting financing solution. While it my only generate a fraction of the money that is needed, I like the fact that it can be used for public works, rehab of industrial buildings, and transit oriented development in general. It addresses  a broad swath of needs. One of the biggest problems here is the vast number of possibilities. Narrowing that down to a few projects could be tricky.
